IDEES wins an artistic residency at the PACT – Zoll Verein (Essen-Germany)
A few months ago, in the framework of the IDÉES project (Impact des Déchéts Électroniques sur l’Environement et la Santé), we presented a preview of the Cebu e-jen performance with artist Anäel Nkeoua, ‘Prince Art’, during the OFF of the Dakar Biennale 2024.
One of the objectives of the IDÉES project is to take a multidisciplinary approach to the issue of the impact of e-waste on the environment and health. For this reason, we decided, together with Prince Art, to develop a creation that would raise awareness of this issue on stage, both in theatres and in the street. As committed artists, we believe that art is an exceptional medium to show the interrelationships between the environment, living beings and electronic waste, as it allows us to combine emotion and knowledge to create awareness and commitment.

The Cebu e-jen performance is one of 10 artistic residencies 2025 selected by the German cultural space PACT in Zollverein (Essen) as part of its annual call for residencies, giving us the opportunity to develop the performance in their installations for three weeks between October and November 2025.
We are very motivated and excited to have obtained this residency, which will allow us to develop the performance and give it our touch of ‘madness’, which will engage the public and serve to make us more aware of the relationship between our actions and their impact on nature.
We hope to be able to count on you as our audience very soon, wherever we present it.
